Dear Oaklyn Community,
On May 6th, the Board of Education approved the 2025-2026 school budget which includes additional funding provided through the NJDOE Tax Levy Incentive Program.
Thanks to the collective efforts of school district staff, the board of education, and the community, the district was able to successfully develop a budget to support and expand this year’s staff, programming, and services for the upcoming school year.
The approved 2025-2026 school budget prioritizes the following areas:
Administration
Improve alignment of the administrative team to better support VISION 2026 strategic goals and objectives
Continue to identify strategies to secure adequate school funding
Actively pursue additional revenue streams to support student learning initiatives
Commit to supporting and retaining dedicated faculty and staff
Curriculum & Instruction
Updated curriculum platform and resources aligned to new ELA and Math standards
Continued implementation of the Science of Reading
Improving the Quality of Teaching & Learning
Increase the Effectiveness of Existing Curricular Resources
Increase Targeted Student Support (Literacy & Mathematics)
· Universal Screeners to ensure data-driven instructional decision-making occurs (DIBELs, MAP) New!
Increase access to high quality early childhood education for Oaklyn families
We remain fully committed to providing the best possible education to our students and continue to advocate at the local, county, and state levels for additional funding for our schools and children.
